SUMMER HOCKEY CAMPS

Overview

One of the best ways to beat the summer heat is to spend the week on the ice! Our Summer Hockey Camps at River Oaks Arena and Community Centre offer a great mix of skill development, powerskating, and small-area games, providing campers the chance to learn Canada's favorite game in a fun and enthusiastic environment. The goal with our summer hockey camps is to help each camper improve their fundamental hockey skills like powerskating, stickhandling, shooting, and passing, and participate in small-area games designed to transfer those new skills right into game action.

When not on the ice, campers will participate in outdoor sports programming like soccer, lacrosse, and flag football, building well-round athletes and developing core skills. Summer camps feature two hours of on-ice development each day. Players will be grouped by age and ability to ensure players with similar skill levels are competing against one another during the week.
